Welcome to the Invintus OTT Builder — Build and Publish Your Own Government Streaming App with no coding involved.

Designed specifically for cities, counties, and State Legislatures, our OTT Builder connects seamlessly with your existing Event Library. Whether you want to showcase live council meetings, highlight recent public hearings, or organize your media by department or topic, it's all here with drag-and-drop simplicity.

What is OTT?

OTT stands for "Over-The-Top" - video content that's delivered directly over the internet, bypassing traditional cable or satellite TV providers. Instead of getting your shows through a cable box, you watch them through an app on your TV, phone, computer, or streaming device like a Roku or Apple TV. The content goes "over the top" of the traditional TV infrastructure straight to your internet connection.

Why OTT?

Extend the reach of your public meetings by making them accessible across TVs, phones, and tablets. With the Invintus OTT Builder, you can quickly build, manage, and publish your own branded streaming app — right from your browser.

If you're here you're likely already streaming public meetings on your website or YouTube. Here's what our OTT Builder adds:

  • Meet people where they watch — Extend your reach by publishing to Roku, Android TV, and mobile devices.
  • Live & On-Demand — Push scheduled meetings, recorded sessions, documentaries, or always-on 24x7 streams directly from our Control Center to your users.
  • Customize without IT — Make changes to your layout, content, and look instantly
  • Build trust through transparency — Make it easier than ever for constituents to access government proceedings in a format they already use for entertainment.

A Note on User Permissions

All users inherit their permissions from their assigned Security Role found within the Control Center.

We generally prevent actions based upon four categories of actions on account data: Creating new data, Reading (viewing) existing data, Updating data, or Removing (Deleting) data.

Within the Security Role's Edit window (Found via: Click Settings Cog > View Details > Permissions) you'll find "Manage OTT" near the bottom of the list.

The following rules are in place within the OTT Builder:

  • Create:
    • If the user doesn't have Create access the only action they can't perform is "Begin Review" as that would submit the app for internal review and submission to the designated App Stores
  • Read:
    • If the user doesn't have Read access then the existing OTT Applications will not be listed when they log into the OTT Builder
  • Update:
    • If the user doesn't have Update access then they will be able to view the OTT applications but will not be able to save any changes to them
  • Delete:
    • If the user doesn't have permission to delete we block their ability to delete any existing OTT Apps
